Tip#3: What to consider when selecting your wedding party attendants
Keep it simple! Be advised that larger bridal parties are harder to organize than smaller bridal parties (especially if alcohol is involved). The family formal photos are typically shot first, followed by the bridal party, then lastly the bride and groom. The larger the group of people the more photos need to be taken, and the more difficult it is to orchestrate. Rushing can lead to undue stress on the wedding party, and inevitably time runs out! So, if you keep it simple you will be much happier at your wedding and with the results.
Tip#4: Plan enough time for your formal photos
In most cases there is 1 hour put aside for the formal photos. This typically is not enough time (especially if you have a large family and bridal party). The larger the group of people the longer the photos will take. Keep in mind if anything runs behind schedule "and it always does" it is the hour between the ceremony and the reception where the time gets cut (and that is when you are doing your formal photos!) If you plan extra time and your photos are done before the time is over, then you get to relax and have a drink and hors d'oeuvres. Avoid receiving lines if possible; they take time away from your photos (and you will greet everyone at the reception anyway). |
